Goji Berry Wolfberry

Hailed as one of ‘Nature’s Superfoods’ this perennial shrub native to China produces an abundance of little nutritional powerhouse berries. The shrub can get to 2.5m high and across over time. It thrives in any sunny position and likes to be trimmed back every Winter.

SOWING DIRECTIONS

When
Spring to Summer, all year in warm regions.
Where
In trays of seed raising mix or direct where they are to grow in the garden or in pots in full sun.
How Sow
Sow seeds 5mm (1/4in) deep. Cover lightly with fine soil, firm gently and keep moist. Seedlings appear in 14-28 days.
Care
Thin as necessary and plant out when large enough to handle.

Cranberry & Goji Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cranberries
  • 1/2 cup dried or 1 cup fresh goji berries
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tbsps sugar
  • 1 tsp orange zest

Instructions

  1. Combine the cranberries, goji berries, sugar and water in a saucepan and bring to boil. Reduce the heat and leave to simmer for ten minutes
  2. Stir in the orange zest then pour the mix into a container and once cooled off, place in the fridge. The sauce will set as it cools further.
